Welcome to Seminar for Interventional Radiology in Asia-Pacific (SIRAP web 2020)
Dear colleagues and friends,
It is our great honor and pleasure to inform you that “The Seminar for Interventional Radiology in Asia-Pacific (SIRAP)” will be held as a virtual meeting from Kawasaki, Japan on December 13th (Sat), 2020.
The SIRAP was originally a 3 days program of formal lectures and hands-on seminars using animal models and simulators. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it became difficult to have face-to-face lectures and hands-on seminars in this year. However, we believe that international communication is important in the development of our IR community. Therefore, we, Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology (JSIR), decided to have web-based online seminar, namely, SIRAP-WEB.
In this SIRAP-WEB 2020, we will have on-line lectures, video demonstrations, and case discussions those focus on puncture technique, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Especially, some of those lectures and case discussions will be delivered by collaborating with Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR). We believe SIRAP-WEB 2020 will contribute to the education and communication for all young IRs in Asian-Pacific region.
Although it is our first challenge to hold SIRAP as WEB-based event, we will do our best to create a model for future IR seminars in the post-COVID era. Now, we are planning to have multiple SIRAP-WEB meetings with different topics in the next year.
For the success of our challenge, your participation is important. Please join us and enjoy this event. We look forward to the participation of many of you in SIRAP-WEB 2020 !
